       Lisa & Greg McCammond

Greg and I have been cooking together since we met.  He is an incredible food artist while I tend to work with some of the sweeter things in life.  While I had worked at one of the finest bakeries in California when I was in college, learning a great deal about fine dining dessert making, it was Greg who encouraged me to branch out and work with him using my culinary talents.  Our favorite thing to do is work together on a project, like a wedding or a cater; however, I do much of the cake decorating on my own with my daughter in law.  Greg is very old school in his cake decorating, a lot of delicate piping work, while my daughter in law and I are doing much of the newer type of cake decorating like you would see on "The Ace of Cakes."  It's a great deal of fondant work and sculpting which was not really around when Greg was in Culinary Arts school though he is so artistic, he can do anything he sets his mind to.  He does amazing ice carvings and between the four of us, Greg and I, and my son, (a line cook at Tulalip Bay - the fine dining restaurant at Tulalip Casino who is also planning on being a Chef thanks to Greg) and my daughter in law (who is planning on becoming a pastry chef), we can pull off quite a wedding.  Of course, Greg could do an entire wedding single handedly if he had the time; but working as a family is a wonderful blessing.  Greg loves working on the Taste of Camano event.

"It was a great success last year and a wonderful opportunity for all the culinary artists and vintners to gather and support their community and Camano Action for a Rural Environment.  As a community that has the opportunity to look up and see a bald eagle, drive by a doe and her fawn crossing the road, walk along our beautiful beaches and through our hundred year old forests, we should make supporting C.A.R.E. a priority all year round.  This is what I love about working right on the water and making my "commute" to work each morning.  Many people come just up the road to go on vacation and this is where I have the opportunity to live and work."
